MOASC Purchasing Network (MPN) has successfully negotiated and signed a preferred distributor contract with Cardinal Health for pharmaceuticals.

The contract with Cardinal Health provides:

  1. Better upfront pricing for practices of all sizes.

  2. Price matching for the whole network, including practices of all sizes. If a price is successfully matched for one practice, it will be given to all practices in our network.
  3. Better rebate program for practices of all sizes, which will be given on a quarterly basis on all purchases. This has been successfully designed to benefit all the practices in our network and practices do not need to wait a period of time to receive the rebate.
  4. Manufacturer contracts that are currently available in the market will be offered to practices of all sizes. Any artificial volume hurdle required by the distributor has been removed; hence any practice can successfully meet the manufacturer contract requirements and receive manufacturer rebates.

At MPN our aim is to keep our administrative costs lean and channel any and all funds possible back to your practices. Our goal is to bring the best deal possible to you, contribute to the financial health of community oncology practices and positively affect patient care.  As a network (physicians, administrative staff, nurses, practices) we represent more than $400M in purchasing power and have the collective power of influencing current and future negotiations in your favor.

Our administrative team continuously analyses changes in the market, price changes, new distributors, rebates, as well as, fair implementation of contracts. We have also reviewed and approved contracts and paperwork that Cardinal Health will request practices to sign, to make sure it is not putting practices at any undue legal or administrative risk.

We understand the burden any change brings and we have a firm commitment from Cardinal Health to make the transition smooth, including changing inventory machines, software, implementing any interface between the inventory/ordering system and your existing EMR/billing software. We believe that it is not in the practices best interest to “be captured” by distributors because of software and technology and essentially practices end up paying for the software and technology through a higher cost of pharmaceuticals and loose our freedom and agility to move our business.

We are excited to bring this offer to you and continue to work diligently for you, and in the near future will be reducing cost of oral dispensing and medical/surgical supplies for your practices.
